Hey guys, it’s been a while… again. Well, I have a good excuse this time–I’ve been busy! No, seriously though. Two days ago at the Vancouver Limousine office, I didn’t get a chance to sit down ’cause I was the only one in the office that day and both lines kept ringing off the hook for hours non-stop!

So it’s June, that means wedding and graduation season. Well…mostly grads. This year, Red Bull dropped off, like, a million boxes of Red Bull for all our graduation jobs! Every graduate got this special graduation package. There were two Red Bulls and a graduation certificate in a neat silver cannister. I think it’s a great thing they’re doing… helping them promote Red Bull and helping us. Win-win situation!

Oh by the way, I took some photos of the lovely 2010 graduates! Congrats to you all. Take a look at these pics and feel free to comment =)

The weather today is amazing… amazingly hot. Don’t get me wrong, I love the nice weather, but I hate working on hot days. Why? Because, as a limo driver, it is required that you dress in a suit. Yup, a full long and black suit. On a day like today, where the temperature is above 30 degrees, I am sweating like a pig.

So, in the morning, I took a very long and cold shower. Then, I packed 3 frozen water bottles (Pure Life) with me. I had freezed them over night, knowing that I would need them in the morning.

I was finishing up my last transfer of the day. All I had to do know was to return the keys and paperworks to my boss and I could finally go home and rest for the day. Not to mention drink a gallon of Ice Tea. I was thirsty, sweaty, and tired. When I went in the office, the boss looked at me and gasped “Man, are you sweaty! You are allowed to use the air conditioner you know? I’m not that cheap!”

And then it hit me! Throughout my whole job driving career, turning on the air conditioner have never occured to me. If I had realized this earlier, driving in the hot weather wouldn’t have been to bad.

Needless to say, on the way back home, I had the air conditioner turned on full blast. Driving had never felt better.

Even though I love hockey, I hate the fact that it is slowing down the phone calls at work. For the past week, my job at Vancouver Limousine had been pretty quiet. Not that I am complaining about the quiet and calm moments, but my hours are being cut down a bit.

Everyone is focused on the games. So, when the hockey matches are on TV, the phones are completely dead. People! Start calling Classic Limousine and help me out!

Let’s have a deal, if the Canucks win tonight against the Black Hawks, you guys have to pick up the phone and call 604-874-4880 and celebrate the first winning match by renting a limo and cruising around Downtown!

For anyone who is renting the 16-passenger SUV limousine, you guys are in for a surprise. This vehicle is equipped with a disco light system and fog machine.

Hey guys, it’s that time of the year again — CRUISE SHIP SEASON! Woot! We’re already starting to get calls in the office about it. I wonder if the HST will have any effect on people booking vans and limousines? Well here is some information regarding your cruise ship trip (haha that rhymes) if you’re interested:

Every year, over one million passengers on more than 300 sailings (represented by the major international cruise lines) pass through the Port of Vancouver’s Canada Place and/or Ballantyne cruise ship facilities. The city of Vancouver is rated as one of the top 10 destination cities in the world! Many Vancouver cruise ship passengers end up staying a few days in this beautiful city to explore and sightsee. Vancouver limousine tour companies are very busy all through the cruise ship season with lunch tours and dinner tours. Some passengers elect to get picked up in Seattle by limousine and driven up to Vancouver. (It is cheaper and faster than flying up to Vancouver).

Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal: Port Vancouver’s premier cruise ship facility is located in the city centre, near excellent hotels, shopping, dining, and entertainment, and three hours from Whistler or Whistler Village. Its distinctive white sail design, five-star hotel, and the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre make Canada Place an attractive start and finish to any cruise ship limousine tour.

Ballantyne Cruise Ship Terminal: Ballantyne pier, Port Vancouver’s second cruise ship facility, is located near the city centre and just minutes away from Canada Place. Your Vancouver transportation will be waiting for you to whisk you away to your accommodations or back to Seattle to catch your flight or to your Whistler Blackcomb destination. Why not try a Whistler tour after your cruise?

Embarking and Disembarking: If you are embarking the cruise ship, allow about an hour for examination of travel documents. This usually begins at around 13:00 hours (1:00 pm).

If you are disembarking in Vancouver, you’ll be able to claim your baggage at the customs area in the terminal. If you have a Vancouver limousine or van transportation waiting for you just follow the signs that say taxis or limousines. There will be a free phone at the end of the walkway that you use to call up the company that you have booked your Vancouver transportation with.

When the 2 weeks the 2010 Olympics were held in Vancouver, it was considered the best freaking time of our lives! I remember I worked every single day at the office of Vancouver Limousine. I dealt with tons and tons of clients over the phone and e-mail, sent tons of confirmation forms and invoices, dealt with drivers, did paperwork, cleaned vehicles, and basically just ran around all over the office… barely sitting. Well after a long day at work, basically a 9-5 job, I would call up my friends and vice versa and we would take the skytrain to Granville and Burrard and we would walk around the streets at night, take tons of photos, view the city, try to get on CTV, take a look at the pavillions, look at all the Olympic destinations (cauldron, the Olympic store, Ozone…), high 5 hundreds of strangers in one night…

Basically, I had the time of my life. Downtown Vancouver was so alive! For once… ’cause usually at nighttime, there aren’t that many people. It was weird seeing so many people and being in a huge crowd… especially that night Team Canada won the gold medal hockey game! After the game it was insane in Downtown. Everybody was screaming and yelling… cheering and chanting… hugging and giving high fives! It was sooo much fun. I really enjoyed it… but a week later, when I returned, it was kind of dead

Anyways, after the 2 weeks, I had to return to college this week and everybody was really depressed! We call it the “Post 2010 Olympic depression” and I totally felt it man. I was sooo unhappy I have to study 24/7 now, it’s tiring, tedious, and NOT fun. I’d rather work all day and party all night, now THAT’S life ;) After this super looooooooooong week at school, I got back to work at the office yesterday and people were starting to call for graduations already! Yup, it’s that time of the year again — GRADUATION SEASON! woooo. So guys, call me and I’ll hook you up with a couple of limousines for your grad night!

Hey guys, team Canada is playing hockey again tonight!

A few nights ago, when Canada won the preliminary game against Norway, people all over downtown went insane! There were cars honking and beeping screaming “Go Canada Go” the whole night, people giving each other high fives, and I even saw people wearing the Canada flag over their shoulders…kinda like a cape?

Now on the news, they say there is a huuuge demand for Team Canada hockey jerseys, yay! Take a look yourself: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/2010/02/18/calgary-canada-olympic-hockey-sweater-jersey-demand.html

This definitely makes me proud to be Canadian :). Anyways, besides seeing all these proud Canadians, I drove around downtown in my Vancouver SUV limousine and I made $600 just for a few transfers! Wow!! I bet it was because of Canada’s victory over Norway – 8 to 0!!!

There are tons of tourists and people everywhere! However, one thing’s missing and that is SNOW! I can’t believe it, last year, it snowed so much I couldn’t even drive home because I got stuck up the hill, but this year is a totally different story. There hasn’t been a drop of snow.. and it’s freezing cold in the nighttime. What’s up with the weather?

Anyway, I have Olympic fever now! I’ve been transporting clients all over the lower mainland for Vancouver limousine, especially airport pick ups to Whistler and tours of Vancouver. If anybody needs a limo, a van, or a sedan, give me a call and I’ll hook you up at 1-866-874-1311

For my best friend’s birthday, she was just planning for some take-out Chinese food and a movie or sleepover at her house, nothing special, just another girl’s night out. However, I called up my buddy driver at Vancouver Classic Limousine and asked for an SUV limo for the night. 11 of my friends and I headed over to my bff’s house in our own cars and dropped off our duffel bags and stuff, then we crashed her bedroom and washroom and quickly changed into dresses and put on make-up. My bff asked me what was happening and I told her to get dressed up because we’re going out! She gave me a “WTF” look but listened to me. In less than 10 minutes, the SUV limo pulled up on her driveway and my bff saw this through her bedroom window and she screamed. We all laughed and yelled “SURPRISE!” She ran into the vehicle and posed for tons of pics :). We toured the streets of Downtown and went to Moxie’s restaurant for dinner and dessert. At around 9 PM we hopped back onto the vehicle and stopped by the BC Liquor store and Shoppers Drug Mart for some booze and snacks and left them in the vehicle for later. We then got dropped off at the Gossip Nightclub and danced ’til 1 AM. We then got dropped off at home and finished our drinks and snacks and passed out :P.

Oh my god! Ladies and gentlemen, take a look at these absolutely stunning limos.

A barbie pink limo! Ladies would go crazy over this if we had it at Vancouver Limousine, eh? I don’t know about you but to me, the inside of this vehicle looks delicious

Take a look at this:

At first, I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but nope. It’s a stretch mini cooper with a swimming pool at the back. Kind of hilarious dontcha think? Now why doesn’t Vancouver have limos with pools at the back?

When I retire.. I want to get myself a limo which one do you guys recommend?

Hey everyone!

The 2010 Olympics are being hosted here in Vancouver and Whistler this February! Less than one month away–27 days to be exact. Has everyone reserved their transportation to Whistler yet? I know I have I booked from a Whistler Shuttle company called Whistler Star Express and now I know I can get up to Whistler to watch the games and maybe ski and snowboard a bit. The most exciting part is that my family and some friends are coming from overseas just to watch the events! Isn’t that great? I love how to Olympics brings the world together. Of course, I also have friends coming from the states and some across the country too. People have been asking me to recommend restaurants in Vancouver. Well I’d have to say that if you love steak, you gotta go to Hy’s Steakhouse, Gotham’s Steakhouse, or Joe Fortes. However, Vancouver is pretty darn multicultural (well, Canada is in general) and we have some of the best Japanese and Chinese restaurants around! If you love Japanese cuisine ranging from sushi to ramen to sukiyaki (hot pot) then I’d recommend Guu, Posh, Kintaro, and Takara Bune. For Chinese food, just go to Richmond and walk into any chinese restaurant and the food is awesome! Places like Sun Sui Wah and Fortune House are my personal favourites for dim sum, fried rice, and stuff like that. If you feel like Mexican food, I recommend Dona Cata on Victoria Drive. Of course, there are also restaurants for bugers, fries, and stuff like Red Robin, Boston Pizza, Cactus Club, Milestones, Moxie’s, and places like that. All the food is delicious!

For shopping, I’d recommend BC’s largest shopping mall–Metropolis at Metrotown. However, if it’s inconvenient for you, there are also malls such as Richmond Centre, Aberdeen Mall, Oakridge Mall, and Pacific Centre. Of course, everyone has to visit the famous Robson Street in Vancouver or eat at a hot dog stand. The best hot dog stand would be Japadog!

Also, who can miss out on a tour of Vancouver when you’re here anyways? My favourite would be booking a limo or an SUV limo from Vancouver Classic Limousine and cruising around the city in style. My friends and I have done this a few times. We went around Stanley Park, stopped at the teahouse, went around Downtown and went to the nightclubs and had dessert at various places. You can even get a tour in the Sun Yat Sen Gardens, around Granville Island, or view the city from a bird’s eye perspective at the Lookout at Harbour Centre and eat lunch or dinner at the revolving restaurant one floor below–Top of Vancouver. There are many more places to see, experience, and taste, but unfortunately, this post would be pages and pages long, so why don’t you give me a call instead and I can be your chauffeur for your Vancouver Limousine Tour!
