Hey guys, it’s that time of the year again — CRUISE SHIP SEASON! Woot! We’re already starting to get calls in the office about it. I wonder if the HST will have any effect on people booking vans and limousines? Well here is some information regarding your cruise ship trip (haha that rhymes) if you’re interested:

Every year, over one million passengers on more than 300 sailings (represented by the major international cruise lines) pass through the Port of Vancouver’s Canada Place and/or Ballantyne cruise ship facilities. The city of Vancouver is rated as one of the top 10 destination cities in the world! Many Vancouver cruise ship passengers end up staying a few days in this beautiful city to explore and sightsee. Vancouver limousine tour companies are very busy all through the cruise ship season with lunch tours and dinner tours. Some passengers elect to get picked up in Seattle by limousine and driven up to Vancouver. (It is cheaper and faster than flying up to Vancouver).

Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal: Port Vancouver’s premier cruise ship facility is located in the city centre, near excellent hotels, shopping, dining, and entertainment, and three hours from Whistler or Whistler Village. Its distinctive white sail design, five-star hotel, and the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre make Canada Place an attractive start and finish to any cruise ship limousine tour.

Ballantyne Cruise Ship Terminal: Ballantyne pier, Port Vancouver’s second cruise ship facility, is located near the city centre and just minutes away from Canada Place. Your Vancouver transportation will be waiting for you to whisk you away to your accommodations or back to Seattle to catch your flight or to your Whistler Blackcomb destination. Why not try a Whistler tour after your cruise?

Embarking and Disembarking: If you are embarking the cruise ship, allow about an hour for examination of travel documents. This usually begins at around 13:00 hours (1:00 pm).

If you are disembarking in Vancouver, you’ll be able to claim your baggage at the customs area in the terminal. If you have a Vancouver limousine or van transportation waiting for you just follow the signs that say taxis or limousines. There will be a free phone at the end of the walkway that you use to call up the company that you have booked your Vancouver transportation with.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. I sure hope that this year we’ll have a white Christmas in Vancouver! I have a strange craving for Starbucks! Maybe I’ll get a cup of white chocolate mocha tomorrow during my break at Vancouver Limousine.

I’ll admit it… I am a workaholic.

Did you know that choosing a Vancouver limousine company is not that easy? Planning and precise decision making are important if you want to achieve the greatest service possible!

Here are some of my suggestions for you guys after years and years of experience! I learned all this stuff the hard way.

The first tip is to compare rates. NOT neccessarily the most inexpensive rates. Now, there are really loads of competitive prices for Vancouver limousine services, but you gotat understand how the limousine companies come up with costs. Knowing the details in terms of the limousine rates would be important.

True story #1: I had a lady call me to ask for a quote on a limousine from the airport to Vancouver at the end of May 2009, which was also during grad and wedding season. I remember it was around a hundred bucks or so (well… she had 10 people so it’s be 10 bucks a person or a bit more) and she spoke to me very rudely and said “Yeah? Well I found a company who’ll do it for $50.00!” and she hung up on me abruptly I got a call on May 30th and she asked me if she could get a limo to pick her up at the airport right away… well sorry, every single limo was booked that day for grads, weddings, clubbing events, birthday parties, tours… you name it!

What I suspect: The limo driver didn’t show up… they got a last minute booking elsewhere for more money. This is what most limo drivers do, but not where I work for! Vancouver Classic Limousine 100% reliable and we are NEVER late. & We ALWAYS show up

Well it’s another rainy day and here I am posting a blog during work at Vancouver Limousine. This feels scary and dangerous, I have so many thoughts. What if my boss sees me using the computer to blog during work time? What if my coworkers look through my blog and report it to my boss? … NAH! I have nothing to hide :-).

Anyways, the reason why I’m blogging right now is because I’ve finished ALL my work for the day. It’s so fricken dead here guys.. I’ve had like 5 phone calls and no one’s bookin’ with me. WHY NOT? It’s not like I bite or anything! Our service is worth every penny you’ve paid. If this keeps up, I’m gonna fly to Hawaii so I don’t get so freaking depressed from this rainy Vancouver weather and the fact that NO ONE is booking >:(

Wow, things sure have slowed down these past weeks at the Vancouver Limousine office! I guess it’s mainly due to the economic recession. I think it’s so sad that we are in one right now, everywhere, people are losing jobs, getting laid off, on E.I., etc. Food and many other items and utilities are getting more and more expensive and that hits people even harder ’cause they don’t have as much money anymore. I know it’s not THAT awful in Canada, especially Vancouver because I see the malls (Metrotown, Pacific Centre…) are full of shoppers, the parking lots still have no parking spaces, restaurants and movie theatres are filled up… in fact, we are pretty darn lucky compared to a lot of people in America, but still, I’m hatin’ on the recession! Wish people would give me a call at work and book an SUV limousine for the weekend to party, go clubbing, drinking or something! Anything! I haven’t seen limo prices THIS low for years!
